Spicy Shrimp, Sausage, and Red Pepper Pasta

A hearty blend of Italian flavors, this dish is complex without being hard to make. The proportions aren't an exact science, so add and remove ingredients as you see fit and based on what's ripe.



  • 2 packages shirataki angel hair or 3/4 lb regular angel hair pasta
  • 1/2 bottle vodka sauce
  • 1 onion
  • 1/2 jar roasted red pepper
  • 1/2 jar artichoke
  • 2 chicken apple sausages
  • 1 tsp red pepper
  • 2 tbsp hot sauce
  • 6 threads saffron
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 1/2 pound shrimp
  • 1/4 cup red wine
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 6-8 baby bella mushrooms, sliced
  • salt to taste
  • 1/4 cup gruyere cheese
  • Chopper fresh basil


  • Combine oil, garlic, onion, and onion in a saucepan, heat until slightly brown. Add in the shrimp and sear on both sides. Add in the sausage.
  • Add in the tomato sauce, artichoke, zucchini, red wine, red pepper in the pan and heat
  • Lower the heat to medium-low and add in the angel hair, red pepper and heat for 10 min
  • Add in the cheese and basil and serve.
